Question Luftwaffe piece

Piece found on a crah site and used by civils as magnifying glass.

My feeling is that it comes from a German plane... Am I right?

Re: Luftwaffe piece

arnaud,

due to the fact that almost everything of anything of German military equipment was wearing a fanufacturer name and/or an ordnance number, this part obviously don't.
By so far let me guess: It's an eyeglass of a cyclops?

No offense meant!

Re: Luftwaffe piece

I think, possibly, this may be a lens from a Lotfe bombsight. Looks familiar to me!

Re: Luftwaffe piece

Hello,

This objet was found in a field by someone else, among aircraft pieces during the second world war. I will ask if there is any number on it.

Has someone pictures from a Lotfe bombsight?

Thank you

Re: Luftwaffe piece

Attached is a close-up of the scope from the cockpit of the JU-388, at the seat just behind the pilot. For sighting the remote tail turret.
