Luftwaffe over Festung Posen (1945)

Hi!
I am trying to establish exact losses of Luftwaffe’s transport units supporting crew of Festung Posen in February 1945.
Here is the list of those units:
III./ Transportgeschwader 4.
I./ Transportgeschwader 3.
Einsatzstaffel / Schleppgruppe 1
14. (Eis)Kampfgeschwader 55
FKB- Staffel (Fallschirmkampfbeobachter- Staffel)

I have managed to establish some losses in January (pictures, eyewitnesses and list of Luftwaffe’s losses on the Ostfront in January)

Thanks for any help.

Mike of Posen

I do not have any for the F.K.B. Staffel, but several for Schleppgruppe 1 will be added later.

Re: Luftwaffe over Festung Posen (1945)

Thanks for the links. I am still impatiently waiting for the rest.
Here is another thing:
I have a photo of He-111 crashed in February 1945 I the woods about 17 km (10 miles) southwards of Poznan near small town Puszczykowo.
The same guy who is at that picture (taken in summer 1945 or 1946) also found a crewman’s Erkenungsmarke.
Is it possible to identify the owner of this dog tag, and thus identify the plane and possible date of loosing that plane?
Has anyone got acces to this kind of files?

All the best

Mike

Hello.

I think you should contact the Deutsche Dienststelle (WASt):

http://www.dd-wast.de/

and/or

Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e.V. :

http://www.volksbund.de/

with your information. They should be able to identify the owner of the E.K.

Regards,
Andreas B
