Someone has information about the claims of these pilots:
August Lambert
Hans Dammers
Kurt Tanzer
Leopold Steinbatz
Max Stotz
Walther Dahl
Hans Philipp
Hartmann Grasser

On the other hand, ¿where i find the complete claims of the Zerstörergeschwader and Nachtjagdgeschwader.?

Claims of Several German Pilots

Hello

The most complete reference for Jagdwaffe claims are the lists included in the various volumes of Die Jagdfliegerverbände Der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1934 Bis 1945 by Jochen Prien, Gerhard Stemmer, Peter Rodeike and Winfried Bock. This is a work in progress, though, so we will have to wait for future volumes to begin to have complete lists of victories for various aces. Regarding Nachtjagd claims the best source is The Nachtjagd War Diaries by Theo Boiten and Rod McKenzie. I am not aware of any definitive source regarding claims by the Zerstörer units. Of the aces that you have listed I only have complete lists for Steinbatz (99), Grasser (103) and Philipp (206). Regarding Dahl, I have seen various figures for his final victory claim total as it appears that there is considerable doubt that the generally accepted number of 128 is correct. I currently have him credited with 102 victories but this number may well be revised depending on future information. The generally accepted victory totals for the other aces that you listed are: Lambert (116), Dammers (113), Tanzer (128 or 143) and Stotz (189).

Horrido!

Leo

Re: claims of several german pilots

Hi Guys

Lamberts total is definatly 103 as confirmed by a KBT document, also the last was not Russian. I found 183 for Stotz, this also matches the 183 quoted for him at a units museum. Dammers is 103, Tanzer unknown, but probably about 50, Steinbatz is 99, Grasser at least 96.....plus possibly more with Zg units!, Philipp(by memory) 195(several more u/c/) Dahl less than 100...depends on his 1945 Russian claims, but much less in the West than is generally excepted!

Regards

Johannes

Re: claims of several german pilots

Are there any plans to post the complete victory lists from Dr. Prien's books on the internet in the manner of the Tony Wood claims lists?
