143 Sqn RAF claim 3 Nov 41

Hi again,

I have a short reference to a claim lodged by Sgt B.B. Smith (RAAF) of 143 Sqn RAF on 3 Nov 41. Apparently he and P/O Horn RAF (could be nav or pilot of separate aircraft) intercepted a “Fw meteorological aircraft and damaged one of its engines.” Furthermore, an intercepted message indicated the enemy “was damaged but continuing operations.” Does anyone have further information or detail about this claim – aircraft serial/code, crews, location or enemy?

Any help appreciated.

Regards, Drew H
