Who shot down 254's Blenheim L9481?

I have two suspects: But the time is way off as L9481 went down at 07.55 hrs.

01.06.40 Oblt. Walter Oesau: 1./JG 20 Blenheim - 20 km. N. Ostende 11.35

01.06.40 Oberst Theo Osterkamp: n.b. Stab/JG 51 Blenheim

Have the story of there shooting down, I'm just trying to tie up loose ends

Many Thanks

Andy Bird

There's this from my tentative forays into ULTRA material for 1940. I haven't seen anything that directly refers to the Blehneims, though.

Some sources say Ostermann shot it down, others say that Framm downed it...

Nick, Peter & Nick,

Many thank's for this, inserted Oberlt Gerhart Framm.
Baird died a tragic death, have a more graphic account than on the bbc website, just hope my female editor does not cut it out.
Incidentally, Flying Officer John William Baird went to the same school, - Sedbergh School, as the only Jamaican who flew in the Battle of Britain Pilot Officer Herbert Capstick.

Once again Thank you.

Andy
