Attempting to locate photos of 9./KG51 He111H FL in France on 15.5.40
Hello,
I'm attempting to locate photos of this force-landed He111H forced down by Hurricanes near Vitry-le-Francois, France, on 15.5.40. This may possibly be coded 9K+AT. "May 15, 1940: 9./KG51 Heinkel He111H. Forced-landed on one engine, badly damaged by No. 85 Squadron Hurricanes north of Vitry-le-Francois a.m. Possibly that claimed by Sgt Allard. Gefr K. Landmann killed. Hptmn FNU Brandt (Staffelkapitän) and rest of crew believed unhurt. Aircraft a write-off." Can anyone help? Regards,
