Ju88 losses Normandy

Hello ,

Just found some pieces from a Ju88 lost 12/13 June 1944 in Normandy , it seems without casualties . Does anyone can find a candidate , probably from the Thomas/Shores book " 2nd Tactical Air Force " Vol. 1 ? Thanks

Hi Khorat ,

Loss was south Fecamp , or Bolbec area . Is there a list of all Ju88s lost that night ? That would be great !

Re: Ju88 losses Normandy

ok, then I had only 2 possibles - a Ju 88 G - the crew leave the plane by chute, in the Seine estuary - but no dead or wounded - so no any names.

Second a Ju 88 A-17 of 9./KG 26, missing in the night 12./13. June 1944 in the Seine estuary, Uffz. Helmut Becker and crew missing.

Thanks Khorat ,

However in the RAF Fighter Command war diary , there are at least 4 Ju88s ( plus one damaged ) and 2 Ju188s claimed by night fighters that night . It seems the crew of MY Ju88 survived , so still to be solved !
