  1. Iron Cross 2nd CL, 22-1-41. Signed by the CO. of the Nachtjagddivision, Gen. Map Josef Kammhuber(Kn.Cr.: 9-7-41).
  2. Iron Cross lst CL, 12-4-41. Signed by the CO. of the Airforce Personnel Dept., Lt.Gen. Gustav Kastner- Kirdorf (German Cross in SILVER, 26-7-43).
  3. Operational Flying Clasp for Fighter pilots in Silver, 1-6-41.
He served 1941 with 2./N.J.G.2, then based in the Netherlands (Gilze-Rijen). 24-4-41 his plane (Do-17 Z-10) Hown by Sgt. Heinrich Schwöbel attacked a British Bomber. Their plane was hit by gunfire trom the Bomber due to which both Funke and Schwöbel were injured. The pilot managed to land the plane safely but died that same day of'his injuries. ...

There is no doubt that it is indeed a very nice trio of documents however, as much as I would happily give them a home in my collection, 695 euros is a steep asking price in my opinion, even taking into consideration the interest in the Nachjagdgeschwader among collectors.

A more reasonable asking price (amid a global recession) would I am sure see them sold rather quickly.
