Re: Two Fw-190 photos

Dear Ed,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...21602According to a thread over at LEMB (see below), this is Fw 190 D-9 W.Nr. 400 298 "Gelbe 1", 3./JG 6, possibly found at Würzburg.

This is something of an enigma. The Fw 190 sport the W.Nr. 433 426, which, to my knowledge, does not fit any known Fw 190 batch... Note the tail of Bf 110 G W.Nr. 160 xxx in the background. A great shot indeed...

Two Fw 190 photos

Hi guys

My photographic interpretation skills are very lacking indeed but I discern the werknummer of the second Fw 190 to be 933 426 which would mean that it was a Fw 190 F-8 built by Norddeutsche Dornier-Werke. Any other interpretations would be most welcome.

Horrido!

Leo

It looks to me as if it's 933 426, hence an Fw 190 F-8.

There's another D-9 from the same seller.

Pretty sure he bought those last week on eBay...I remember they were bought as a lot of 5 for $325, if I am not mistaken...

Dear Marc,

Thank you for your comments. I am no longer able to access parts of the LEMB. I am very young at this, with only 10 years experience, and a library that is but a fraction of what the experts have, so I usually have nothing to add. Per the rules at the LEMB, with which I have no disagreement, I cannot see the link you posted.

Best,
Ed
