Collision of two JU 52 at Fornebu on 29 April 1940

Hello,

According to the loss list available at http://www.rafandluftwaffe.info/, two Ju 52s from an unknown unit were destroyed (damage percentage unknown) in a landing collision at Olso-Fornebu airfield on this date. Fate of the crew is unknown.

If anyone has more details about this accident, I will be interested.

Thanks in advance

Laurent

Re: Collision of two JU 52 at Fornebu on 29 April 1940

Thanks Matti as always. So no casualty seems to be reported.

This "ramming by enemy aircraft" seems odd to me, but I will check my files before saying too much. I see that on this day five aircraft of 102 Sqn bombed Fornebu, and may have destroyed this Ju 52.

From the above, it seems to me that both losses were unrelated.

Best regards
