Bf 110C DB 601 engine connections
I have some specific DB 601 pictorial requests referenced to the Bf 110C series of aircraft. My best sources have been printed in publications I have personally purchased from Mr. Luftfahrt Hafner (http://www.luftfahrt-archiv-hafner.de/) and specific commercial books, such as Classic Publications.
Does anyone have any photos of the DB 601 connections from the firewall to the engine accessories of the gearbox, such as the propeller pitch Biegsame Wellen connection and various electrical quick disconnect attachments? One of the most revealing photos I have found of this subject comes from page 61 of John Vasco's Classic Publication book "Messerschmitt Bf 110 C, D and E." I have scrounged the internet, bookstores, eBay listings and numerous posted sources, but the actual exposed back section of the engine for the Bf 110C with all of the wiring and cables still attached is tough to find. I have a good DB 601F drawing from page 32 from a copy of the Handbook "Bf 110 F-2 HB Teil 06 Triebwerksanlage," but it leaves out many details. Does anyone know of copies for posting or sale of the color Vultee Aircraft Corporation shots of S9+CK? Some of these also appear in the above mentioned book by John Vasco on pages 165-167, and in his Classic Publication "Zerostörer, Volume One," pages 66-67. One very informative Bf 110 publication I purchased was the original book Vultee Aircraft produced on the captured S9+CK 110 analysis, "REPORT NO. 260-28, ANALYSIS OF THE MESSERSCHMITT ME-110 AIRPLANE." It has excellent information on the aircraft & systems, but few graphics of the engines or firewall connection details. Thanks! |
