3 109s claimed by Mustangs 27 May '44
On 27 May '44 Bud Anderson and his flgiht or 4 Mustangs were engaged initially by 4 109s. The 4 P-51s got the advantage and 3 109s ran while 1 climbed.
Anderson and his wingman (Skara) chased after the 3 running, the other 2 Mustangs went after the lone 109 that climbed. The lone 109 was shot down, Anderson shot down 2 other 109s and the fourth 109 got away. Andersons victory lists shows the 2 109s he claimed as shot down 'northwest of Strasbourg'. You can read a version of this engagement here. I am looking to identify the pilots and unit of the 3 lost 109s. Thanks, Wotan
