Special words of the great respect and appreciation for Carl-Fredrik Geust

Special words of the great respect and appreciation for Carl-Fredrik Geust for the book,“Red Stars 7 – The Winter War in the Air”, Apali Oy, Tampere (Finland) 2011.

People who are only interested in "Me 109" should not continue reading. In this conflict between Finland and the Union from 30 November 1939 to 13 March 1940 Soviet Union did not participate any Me 109

This fundamental work on the participation of Soviet aviation during the Winter War 1939-1940!

Author to create it had to spend several years of serious research and study. He spent many hours in various military archives reading thousands of pages of documents (mainly archives in Finland and Russia). Carl had gone to enormous trouble to collect huge footage (over 320 top quality photo – most of wich are Publisher for the first time, 28 color profiles and 5 maps). The extremely detailed units and combat chronicles in the book are based on extensive archive researched in Russia and Finland.

Author and his work completely deserve a hymn of praise. A sincere word of appreciation for Carl.

Mirosław Wawrzyński (Poland, Pruszków)

PS
The author of this comment did not get the book from the publisher as a gift, bought it for his money.

I can second what Mirek has written.
I also owe a sincere thanks for the groundbreaking work what Carl has done for the sake of the history of aviation, more precisely the Finnish and Soviet aviation in WW2.
I am looking forward to reading more reference works similar to his books published in the Red Stars series.
