German Aircraft Engine

My dad was a mechanic with RCAF 403 Wolf Squadron
Here's a picture from my dad's album captioned "German Aircraft Engine".
Two of my dad's crew can be seen standing beside it.

Can anyone identify this engine and identify a location where this picture was taken?

Cheers,

Kickinghorse
