Information concerning loss of Uffz. Heinz Lackamp - 17.06.1944

Hi,

Can anyone provide information on the unit and loss of Uffz. Heinz Lackamp who was a pilot in a Stuka unit who died whilst on a flying mission on the 17th June 1944? Perhaps somewhere near Wilna?

Thanks

Rick

Hi,

II./S.G. 1 was converting to the FW 190 at Wilna at this time, so this loss wasn't on a mission.

Cheers,

Was Lackamp an experienced flier with the unit?
Do we know how many missions he had been on?

He was not yet 21 years old and therefore difficult to believe, that he could have been a very experienced pilot.
