				Fw 189 mishap 19 or 20th April 1941
Dear all, According to the KTB Flughafenbereich Amsterdam a Fw 189 had to make an smooth emergency landing near Beverwijk owing to engine troubles at 19th April 1941. Local reports confirm this incident and also that a take off the next day on 20th April failed. Additionally it was reported that the pilot was a certain Lt Arndt. Would there be any chance to identify this Fw 189 or its unit? I'm aware that the chances are at a minimum as no one was injured and the damage may have been below 10%. But perhaps someone has some clues on file? Thanks in advance for your efforts, Hans Last edited by Hans Nauta; 28th June 2014 at 13:44. Reason: extra info |
