Hello,

According to the revised EoE LW Loss DB:

"3.(F)/123 Dornier Do17P-1. Returned to Schweidnitz AF, Germany, badly damaged by AA fire during photo-reconnaissance sortie over Modlin, Poland, at 8.50 a.m. BO Oberlt Heinz Paczoch badly wounded – died in Elisabeth hospital 20 September, FF Fw Karl-Heinz Herbst and BF Gefr Gotthard Leisner both unhurt. Aircraft 4U+UL 60% damaged but repairable."

Info source is KTB plus EoE research.

Mirek, do you have an photos of this a/c or any of the crewmen aboard it?

Re: Do 17 P 3(F)/123 lost over Modlin on 17.09.39

Hi
Thanks, it was hit by one of 40 mm Bofors from 8. A/A Motorised Battery commanded by kapitan Józef Płodowski.

Pity, that it is lacking exacte place of hiting, like Kuzuń, Nowy Dwór or other, when one of the 4 guns was placed.

PS
60 % of damages and still repairable? The cost of it was too high.

regards,
mw

Sorry, no photos of it and the crew. I am only interested about the fate of the plane and the crew.
