Seeking info/Photos for Profiles of a/c flown by Lt/Hptm Werner Streib, RKT during 1940

Hello,

For the EoE Project, we're trying to acquire reference info/photos to execute a series of profiles of the Bf110s flown by Knight's Cross winner Werner Streib during 1939-40. Here is the problem:

1) We're looking for the Bf110C that he flew while the N.O. on the I./ZG Gruppenstab for during 1939-spring 1940. Presumably it would have been coded 2N+CB or +DB. We know who was flying 2N+AB and +BB during that period.

2) Sometime after his first and only day victory on 12.05.40 during the WC, he transferred to 2./ZG1, apparently promoted to 2./ZG1 Sta Kap on 06.06.40, succeeding Oblt Horst Lehrmann.
He may have taken over 2N+AK at that point, probably a Bf110C, or received a new Bf110.

4) On 26.06.40 I./ZG1 was disbanded, with some personnel going to 1./ErprGr 210, and others going to 1./NJG1, which was just forming. Streib went to the newly formed 2./NJG1 as Sta Kap. He may have taken his old a/c with him at the time of the transfer. On the night of 19/20.07.40 Oblt Streib achieved the official first night victory for NJG1. The a/c he was flying at that time is unknown but probably was coded G9+_K. By 06.10.40 Streib had achieved a total of 8 victories, including 7 at night, earning him the RK. He may have been flying G9+AK during this period.

5) The day after award of the RK, Streib was promoted to command I./NJG1, where he may have flown G9+AB or <<G9+AB. Some Gruppenstab within NJG1 used the fighter chevron/bar system on their aircraft, but it isn't known if Stab I./NJG1 did so.

I know of no photos of any of Streib's aircraft up to this point. However, on the night of 14/15.03.41, his a/c suffered minor damage and both he and his BF were lightly WIA. The damage to their a/c was apparently fixed at the unit level since no GQM report was filed. There is one color photo known of his scoreboard taken at this time, showing one day victory tab (12.05.40), and ten more night victories. This was on an all-black a/c, but no codes or W.Nr. are visible. If we know the codes and whether I Gruppe used the chevron system or not, we could probably retro this photo back to a profile during the latter part of 1940, which is required for the EoE profile project.

Streib was an extremely important LW pilot as was one of the relatively few Bf110 pilots to win the RK during 1940, and was one of the top scoring LW night fighter pilots of the war.

Can anyone provide further information on Streib's career or any photographic documentation of any of the a/c outlined above? As far as I know, Streib's Flugbuch did not survive the war, but obviously this would be extremely helpful if someone has a copy of this.

Thanx in advance for any assistance.
