Sgt Bjarne Aasberg 332 Squadron
Dear researchers,
Some time ago, a message was posted on this Board witch regard to the whereabouts of Sgt Bjarne Aasberg, 332 Squadron, who crashlanded with Spitfire NH425 AH-S near Driehuizen, The Netherlands, on 16th April 1945. He managed to escape and was hidden by the Dutch Resistance till the Liberation, some 3 weeks later. The tail wheel of his Spitfire has survived the war and is now used for a restoration project. Although I remember that there wasn't additional info on Sgt Aasberg, for instance if he's still with us these days. Probably the Norwegian community on this Board can point me in the right direction for approaching the right Norwegian organisations to obtain more info? Thanks in advance, Hans Nauta |
