This bird was recovered a few years ago...any info on the pilot or unit?

Bf 109G-6/U4 WNr.440263 of 4./JG 3, coded “weiße 5” Uffz. Alfred Beutel KIA 11.April 1944 5km west of Köckte, west of Gardelegen in Luftkampf with enemy fighters.

Mike I am going to leave your last post here, but a piece of advice: you have asked which USAAF squadron/unit was involved in the shoot down of the 109. You will likely get a better response if you start a new thread, with the details, on the Allied/Soviet forum.
