tech question - Me262

It is my understanding that the slats on Messerschmidt a/c were operated by the air pressure on them.

I have come across a statement that the slats on the Me262 had a spring to help with their extension.

Is this so?

Thanks

Re: tech question - Me262

Someone recently posted a Youtube video of the USAAF flying a captured 262 and one of the groundcrew or camera crew pull the slats out and then pushes them back in.

Thanks for confirmation there was no springs involved in the operation of the slats on the Me262.
