propeller blade, the Focke Wulf 190

Hello, gentlemen,
I need advice on propeller blade, which I recently acquired. They show some numbers written in ink. He knew someone that mean? They are only slightly visible. Thank you so much for your advice. Hi all. MT

Re: propeller blade, the Focke Wulf 190

Tolesa,

Here are two images of a blade from a collection near Boston. Stenciling on the blade appears to be ? 2.9528/3 and the blade base has multiple numbers: 9-12067.10, W.Nr. 12.9528/3, M40 1360, and F12.178156. I was advised that this indicates it is an Fw-190 prop blade.

Tony

Re: propeller blade, the Focke Wulf 190

Marking on the sheet red color is 1 (1 or 4), 9857, and at the base blade are: 9-1215310
(0 or 6) and 37413 (unfortunately more numbers, I have not figured)

Advise someone on what version of FW 190 propeller originates or could ever be made???

Many thanks for all the advice. MT

Re: propeller blade, the Focke Wulf 190

Hello Tolesa,

As far as I know there were three distinct types of propeller blades used on the Fw 190A through G versions. These were:

VDM 9-12067 A = metal blades
VDM 9-12153 A = metal blades with external weights
VDM 9-12176 A = wooden blades

I suspect that your blade is actually 9-12153.10 and is from an Fw 190.
