B-24, 41-28603, "Chiquita Mia"

Does anyone know the actual location where B-24, S/N 41-28603, of the 450th Bomber Group, 721st Bomber Squadron, called "Chiquita Mia" crashed on 12 April 1944?

Looking at the MACR and at the "KU" lists for "ME 1094" which is the number the Germans assigned to the crash.

The MACR has the crash recorded as ME 1094 as "Near Agram, Novo Capella, near Slavonic Brod"

Other pages in the MACR say the crash was near Luzani and men were captured at "Dragovci (Drakovci) near Slovakai Brod"

I think the crash was at Nova Kapela, just a lttle north of Luzani. Dragovci is just to the NE.

Nova Kapela was right in the heart of Ustasa country in April 1944. I wonder if anything happened to the crew? The Ustasa did not always turn downed Allied airmen over to the Germans or the Croatian authorities.

7 of the crew members incl.pilot were most probl.rescued through Hallyard
and were within a month back to Manduria , the remaining 3 incl. CoP weren't that
lucky and spent rest of the war at Sagan probably turned to the Germans by one
of the local fascist afilliated militia operating near Brod area.

Interesting that some of the original crew got captured and spent rest of the
war at Sagan too incl.2Lt.Morrissey ( 2nd from right standing )

It crashed near Slavonski Brod, Yugoslavia (Croatia). Nova Kapela is stated in MACR, like already mentioned.
3 crewmen crash landed and were PoW, and 7 jumped earlier and were rescued by partisans from Bosanski Petrovac after one month.
