Marius Bresvieux
Hello there,
I've heard there was a French ace called Marius Bresvieux (8 kills). Further info on him is virtually non-existent. Is he real ? Michael |

Re: Marius Bresvieux
Hello
I have never heard of a French ace with this name, and even if one learns something each day, I know the French Air Force in WWII quite well, so I have an alternate proposal for you. A google of Marius Bresvieux brings me to this webpage: http://aces.safarikovi.org/victories...1939-1940.html In this list, a known French ace is missing, his name is Jérémie Bressieux. I don't know from where the first name Marius is coming, but Bresvieux is very probably a typo for Bressieux. By the way Bressieux score is also shown as 9. You can find on Bressieux on this webpage (in French): http://www.cieldegloire.fr/004_bressieux_j.php |

Re: Marius Bresvieux
I have his full name as Jérémie Marius Bressieux. 9 victories, GC I/5.
Enjoy! Frank.

Re: Marius Bresvieux
OSPREY's "French Aces of World War 2" confirms his name was Jérémie Bressieux.

Re: Marius Bresvieux
Confusingly, he is listed twice at cieldegloire: correctly and with the name with which I started this thread.

Re: Marius Bresvieux
...by the way I tried to determine the total WW2 score of the Armée de l'Air by adding the scores of the Groupes de Chasses indicated on that website. The result was 857. Has ever been a different total been published ?
