Name of pilots killed in training units
Hi, guys.
A couple of questions. On 18.09.1944, Bf 109G-6, WNr 411964, RX+FJ were shot down and the pilot killed. His name was first reported as Gerrelmeier in the loss report of 22.09.1944, but this was corrected in the report of 23.10.1944, which is not available to me. I can read his given name, which is Josef, but it is hard to read the pencilled in family name. I found that according to the Volksbund site, a Josef Gervelmayer were killed on this date. Is this the pilot of the mentioned aircraft? Also, on 13.09.1944, a Gefreiter was killed flying Bf 109G-6, WNr 412109, this aircraft crashed at Biberach. Can anyone decipher his name? To me it reads: ????-Karl R?????berg or ????-Karl K?????berg Any hints appreciated as always Regards, Andreas |
