Fpn L 49025

I've obtained a Feldpostbrief with Fpn. L 49025 (17.5.1944, Lgpa Amsterdam/Bentheim) and send to Fpn 26193 D. Obviously a unit situated in the eastern part of Holland.
Can someone identify this units?

thanks

Hello,

I've found some informations. Please have a look:

FP 49025
(23.4.1944-24.11.1944) 1.6.1944 Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur E 204/XI

Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur E (v) 204/XI
Kommandeur: Maj Hans Orthlieb, 1.4.44 - ?
Formed 1.4.44 in Twente from Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur A 207/VI.

Attached units:
Platzkommando Steenwijk [formed 1.4.44]
Platzkommando Nemwijk [formed 1.4.44 from Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur 29/VI]
In 8.44 Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur E (v) 204/XI -
Platzkommando Nemwijk became Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur E (v) 235/XI.

Service:
4.44 - 5.45 in Twente (Holland) with Platzkommando Steenwijk and Nemwijk

FP 26193
Stab u. 1.-3. Bereitschaft Nachrichten-Helferinnen-Einsatz-Abteilung 52,
(6.4.1944-9.11.1944) disbanded 10.10.1944.

Maybe part of Luftnachrichten-Abteilung 52
in Luftgau Belgien/Nordfrankreich (incl. Holland) ???

Re: Fpn L 49025

Thanks for your quick response. I know the place of Steenwijk, but never heard of Nemwijk. That is, so far I know, not a place in Holland. Any suggestions which place is meant?

Hmmm, maybe an translation or transcription error? Do you know
an other Fliegerhorst in Holland which sounds like Nemwijk?

Re: Fpn L 49025

Nemwijk= Steenwijk
Mistake of Michael Holm.

Live would be a lot easier if people would mention their sources.

Re: Fpn L 49025

Dag Jaap,

Thank for your contribution. Thougt already that my geographical knowlegde of the Netherlands was declining.
In the same letter the writer mentions that he will try to get some information from the "Standesamt Zwolle". Do you know which function a Standesamt had and what relation there is with Steenwijk or probably Twente.

Thanks,
Jos
