Low Fuel lights - Heinkel He 111 H
Good morning.
I do have some He 111 books and material and actually found (on a booklet about the computer game IL-2 Sturmovik) that the Heinkel He 111 H did have, on the overhead panel, above the pilot position, near the two fuel gauges (fuel quantity indicators), two RED LOW FUEL LIGHTS.
I have seen some original Heinkel He 111 manuals and understand that perhaps some of you are experts on that particular machine.
My question is:
a) HOW much flying time one would have (I understand that the asnwer may vary from the altitude you are flying, the regime - RPM, Atü (admission), the mixture control, etc. -) after one or both RED lights were ON? 15 minutes of flying time ? 20 minutes ?
From memory, I remember reading on "War Diaries" only cases of Bf 109 red light showing (on the book "The War Diary of Hptm Helmut Lipfert) and Spitfires and Tempests (Clostermann's Le Grand Cirque).
Do some of you remember reading on War Diaries or other kind of books (maybe technical) similar situations of LOW FUEL ANUNCIATORS (LIGHTS) ON? Could you share the book and information here?
Many thanks for inputs and any kind of assistance, regarding the He 111 particular question
Adriano B.
