DB603 superchager

1. Several sources states DB603G attached larger & more efficient supercharger than DB603A. However, figures on datasheets of these engines present similar dimensions. I suppose the difference were impeller size and rotation, could it be true? Then, I hope experts show these values.

2. Which supercharger was attached to DB605AS and DB605D? Some sources states DB603A supercharger and others states DB603G's...

Re: DB603 superchager

The supercharger of the DB 603A was used in the DB 605AS and 605D engines. The DB 603G never went into production, but as I recall, it was as you said, a higher engine compression ratio for the engine and a higher rotation speed for the supercharger. But, I will check on that.
All the best,
George

Are you sure, George, in just about any publication I read it was the supercharger of the 603G (same case in the DB 603E which went into prod instead of the 603G).

A DB datasheet from Oct 1943 states of the 605D (obviously in development) states it's alike the DB 605A, '...jedoch mit größeren Lader in Ausführung wie DB 603 G...'.
