P-51D Mustangs of the 26th FS/51st FG
Does anybody have photos of bubbletop P-51D/K Mustangs of the 26th FS/51st FG, which operated in the CBI theatre? I didn't manage to find any yet, only B/C models.
In particular I am looking for the machine flown by FO Thomas W Weaver on 11 July 1945, when he claimed one Ki-43 Oscar of the 64th Sentai destroyed and another damaged. In the same battle Capt William J Posvic also claimed an Oscar damaged. Details of his machine would be more than welcome too. Also does anybody know how/where I could optain a copy of mission report A0729/1042-3 that details these claims?
