Stab,I,III/StG2 losses in May 1941
Dear friends,
Regarding the previous post for the Molaoi airfield i have heard a strange story about a Stuka which crashed near the airfield while returning from Crete.When the Germans find the plane the members of the crew were dead and from one of them the finger with the wedding ring was missing!One sheperd had cut off the finger of the pilot to take the ring.Finally the Germans found him and later he was executed. At the Molaoi airfield at that time there were Stab,I,III/StG2 and this incident took place probably during the Battle of Crete.So,i need your help to find more about it. Thank you
