Help with German language - back of photo (N.Afrika)

Good night to all members.

On the 12th August 1942, KGZbV 1 flew its 15,000th flight (Ju 52) from Tobruk. General Keller was there to celebrate this milestone, as we can see behind one of the two attached photos.

Can any German member help me identifying the other names and what was additionally written behind those two photos enclosed?

MY GRATITUDE for any help or any word or name that pop up or you can identify.

Wish health for all of you, above all.

A.

Re: Help with German language - back of photo (N.Afrika)

Hello Uschu,

THANK YOU for that. I guess I uploaded another back-photo from KGZbV 1, by mistake. Shall try to sort out the back of the 15,000th flight. But you do have my gratitude for the name of Hptm Lange anyway.

All the best,

A.

@ Adriano: Can you post these pics in better quality? I have guesses about two of these names but it should be more readable.

Re: Help with German language - back of photo (N.Afrika)

Leo und Bakerman, I shall post the original other back photo from the 15,000th flug here very soon. I messed up with another shot of KGZbV 1 airmen...on the Oasis of Siwa, on a previous date. Sorry for this mistake and please be patient so I can post the photos...I may need to check the maximum quality (Kb) permitted here before.

Re: Help with German language - back of photo (N.Afrika)

Could it be the Kögl mentioned on the photo, Obstlt Josef Kögl (from KGrZbV 102...maybe on training flight or training duty)?

The Major, could it be Johannes Janzen?

And the last Leutnant, Werner or Wener Müllenhain, Staffelkapitän of 8 Staffel KGZbV 1?

The Leutnant with L - Lu something I can not decipher properly.

USCHU, Bakermann und Rotler,

My gratitude for the transcription of the words in German. Without you I would not have a glimpse of what was written!

Re: Help with German language - back of photo (N.Afrika)

Hi Adriano,
2nd and 3rd names: "Hptm. Dudeck" and "Maj. Hornung", two of the very few transport pilots who were decorated with the "Knights Cross" for their successful duties in Africa.

Is it possible that we can see the front of these pics?

Bakermann

Again, my gratitude for identifying the two names you do mention. Without you I would never have guessed that what for me was a Major J + something, would be Major Hornung. What a different way of writting an H!

Yes, give me some time to put the front pics here in low resolution.
