My Dad, Harry Robert Wilson, would have been 98 tomorrow March 26th. He died three weeks after a bad fall on April 11, 2021. He flew in the Checkerboard with the 8th Air Force 327/92. He couldn’t read your posts even though he was on Facebook because he was going blind with macular degeneration. I read it to him pretty often and told him all about the pictures. He thoroughly enjoyed all of it. He grew up on a small farm in a Mennonite community a long ways from anything. He thought the military was the best thing that ever happened to him. He got to see a lot of places in the world that he wouldn’t have been able to otherwise. He even thought the military food was great. He was a happy well-adjusted man and a great dad. His brother, John Wilson was stationed in the infantry 1 mile down the road from dad in Poddington England. I thought you would enjoy knowing how much she loved the B-17 page.
