Lw fighter losses Channel Front 2 Nov 42

611 Sqn claimed 2 Fw 190 destroyed, the pilot of one seen to bail out, another 2 damaged, and a Me 109 probably destroyed.

Don't think there were many, if any, other claims by Fighter Command that day.

Particularly interested to know the name and unit of the pilot who bailed, apparently north of the Somme, claimed by S/L Hugo Armstrong.

TIA,
Bruce

II./JG 26 claimed 3 Spitfires 1523, 1524 and 1657hrs. One of these pilots, Uffz Georg Granabetter of 6./JG 26 was reported lost over the sea west of Boulogne after shooting down a Spitfire at 1523hrs. Now the bad news-340 Sqn claimed 3 destroyed, one probable and one damaged while 611 Sqn claimed 2 Fw 190s destroyed, two damaged and a Bf 109 probable all at the same time that Hugo claimed and Granabetter claimed
