Re: NVM

Not sure exactly what you are after but from what I remember, NVMs are no longer being made available as copies. Matti might be able to help more on this?

Re: NVM

Hello Karsten,

most Luftwaffe related NVM are available online via inventio at B 563/100001 ff.
KG 55 NVM are available at B 563/100408 - 100414.
To see the files you need a permission, which can be obtained via BA/PA.

Regards

Dirk

Re: NVM

Thr former WASt files have been scanned. But as stated by Dirk, you have to get permission to acces, and it can only be wieved in Berlin. In oder to get permission you have to show up in person in Berlin. And you risk to be turned down anyway.

Re: NVM

Thanks for clarifying this Junker-I was told as a published author I would have a good chance of getting approval but going to Berlin and the risk of them saying no is not a good one. Matti would no doubt support this as I know he goes to Berlin

Re: NVM

There is no need to show up in Berlin to get the permisssion.
I made this via mail. But this took some time and a bunch of paperwork.

I can see and download the files via inventio from home.
To do this, I have to sign in with the digital part of my ID-card.
I don´t know, if this works with foreign ID-cards or passports.

Re: NVM

A couple of notes;

Yes, the former WASt has scanned numerous documents. Mainly all the NVM's and also the EM-lists. However, loads of documents have not been scanned yet. For instance their main Kartei (~>25 million cards?) have not been scanned yet and it is to be seen if ever scanned. These cards sometimes hold valuable info.

Dirk, I tried to set this is up for myself based on my Dutch ID card etc but gave up. The story was that it should work as an EU citizen but it was plainly not working.

I simply opted for short trips to Berlin for a week and worked as a maniac....full time.

Regards,
John

Re: NVM

Hello John,

I used the Ausweis App:

https://www.ausweisapp.bund.de/en/download.

It was a little bit tricky to get it work.
One has to enable the digital part of the ID (at least here in Germany)
One also has to register for the use of the App with inventio to get the connection of the ID to your inventio account.

Regards

Dirk
