Have You something more about Italian pilot Bf109 : Orlando Chittaro/Ciciaro (19 years old) +23/24.03.1945 crashed near Carlsberg (now in area of mountian / Poland). Hello,
I think he was not a born Italian but a German citizen with Italian parents! In the mid-late 19th. century, many Italians were employed in railway construction in Germany. Many of them stayed in Germany and married a German woman. The same case was with former construction workers from Poland and Croatia. Bests, hans |
