Maj Dr Ernst Eichelbaum

Maj Dr Hans Eichelbaum prior to the outbreak of war served in the RLM and had written a number of books on the Luftwaffe including in 1939 "Das Buch von der Luftwaffe" (The book of the Luftwaffe) and in 1937 "Wörterbuch des Flugwesens" (Dictionary of Aviation) together with Karl Anders. Apart from what is on the Careers site, can anyone tell me more about this officer-did he fly in the First War for example and what became of him? I am aware that he has a PERS6 file
