Friedrich Goebel and Peter Winkler
Both Friedrich Goebel and Peter Winkler got the German Cross in Gold while with Minensuchgruppe 1 of the Luftwaffe. What were their performances that earned the German Cross in Gold? What did they do after WWII?

I think they both flew Ju-52s with magnetic big rings under the plane bellies. They destroyed the sea mines with the rings.

I think both Goebel and Winkler had gotten their German Cross in Gold for a certain number of mines destroyed while flying their Ju-52s with big loops underneath.
