The Secret Battle For Britain, The RAF’s Handling and Interrogation of Luftwaffe Prisoners of War 1939-1940

New from Pen&Sword: https://www.pen-and-sword.co.uk/The-...ritain/p/56622
'The Secret Battle For Britain, The RAF’s Handling and Interrogation of Luftwaffe Prisoners of War 1939-1940' by M.S. Morgan.

'This book explores the development of RAF Air Intelligence and its interrogation methods used on captured Luftwaffe airmen from 1939 to the end of 1940, including the story of Franz von Werra, the only Axis PoW to escape and return home. It highlights how intelligence was gathered through covert tactics, interrogation, and 'open-source' materials, providing a detailed picture of enemy pilots, aircraft, units and the general social situation around a unit or airfield community. These efforts played a crucial role in shaping Allied understanding during the Battle of Britain and the Blitz.'

Be interesting to know whether this book draws on the 'k' summaries, or the actual 'k' reports...

Based on a qick look in a book shop … In the appendices he lists the A.I.(K) reports and S.R.A. reports for the period, so I guess he used them.

Nick, not wishing to sound facetious, but there is a difference between the 'k' summaries, and the 'k' reports. I've seen one 'k' report. How the person (not giving out his name here) got hold of a complete 'k' report, I did not ask. But the content was incredible...

The ‘them’ in my response referred to the items listed in his appendix. My comment was based on a couple of minutes’ browsing in a tiny independent bookshop, not a detailed critique of the author’s source selection.

Understood. I was just pointing out the difference between the two...
