What happened to F/Lt Miroslav Budil

F/Lt Miroslav Budil Spitfire Mk IX, MK248 (DU-R). shot down by German fighters (JG26) at 19:15 hrs. It crashed 3 km south of Zarren (approx. 14 km NW of Roeselare), West Flanders.

CWGC records provide the following official details:
  • Death Date: 19 April 1944
  • Rank: Flight Lieutenant
  • Service Number: 82541
But in KU-1507 in 2 document states he was captured and "eingelieferd" the 19 th and put on march with Marschverpflegung the 21 nd
(KU-1507 pg 10-11)
There is a reference For Budil to KUJ-879 but i dont have that one.

Dead men dont walk so what happened?
