German radar ship NIOBE in Estonian and Finnish waters 1944

The German radar ship NIOBE arrived in Estonia via Finland in March 1944, and subsequently returned to Finland in July 1944. NIOBE was destroyed in Kotka harbour 16 July 1944 by a massive attack by the Soviet Baltic Fleet Air Force (which mistakenly identified Niobe as the Finnish armored ship Väinämöinen)!

I am interested in the use of Niobe at the Estonian coast, connection to the German fighter control system in Tallinn, possibly assisting NJG 100 to intercept attacking Soviet bombers.

The ship was a floating anti-aircraft battery designed to protect Kotka. It had no connection with the 4./NJG 100. The radar ship ‘Togo’ was responsible for this task.

Yes it was TOGO, worked near estonian coast from 7.03.44 to 28.05.44. All interception (of soviet bombers) with her help failed because of various reasons.

Thanks for all comments to my question, where I unfortunately mixed up the roles of NIOBE and TOGO!

I want now to correct my original question: how was TOGO connected to the German fighter control network in Estonia, and subsquently to NJG 100 (although no successful interceptions were recorded) and further to NIOBE?

Reference for war diary in Bundesarchiv is BArch RM 96/724 https://invenio.bundesarchiv.de/inve...-fc0347f52844/
From secondary sources also book by Kurt Petsch "Nachjagdleitschiff Togo" should be mentioned.
