Luftwaffe Colour photographs, some sensational ones

Hi to all,

don't know if you folks do know this site in which I just bumped, but there are 217 Luftwaffe aircraft colour pictures from German and Allied sources.

Some of them are well known like this Me 109 G-10/ R2, Wnr 770269 5F+12, of 2./ NAG 14 :

Or Me 262 A White 17 W.Nr. 110956, of III./EJG 2 at Lechfeld:

Others are new to me like this Mistel with Me 109 G
http://www.ww2incolor.com/gallery/ge...ffe/ahm?full=1

Or this topredo laden He 111 H lifting off from a snow covered Norvegian airfield:

and those He 219, neatly lined up at Karup airfield, denmark, in May 45:

Anyway, wish you a lot of new sights on this link:

Beware though: there are some (few) modern air to air pics from the currently flying Me 109 from MBB or the cAF JU 52...

The texture of the He 111 photo looks as if it has been scanned from a printed source, maybe a magazine.

Bill,

The could very well be, but Jeff told me once that he copied them from the Signal magazine - so, where does the buck stop?

Not to mention that some of the better ones were given to him and I did notice that one originated from Warren Bodie.

Re: Luftwaffe Colour photographs, some sensational ones

In looking through some of the other topic areas, a lot of the photos looked like they've been scanned from some of the books we all are familiar with - the book versions have in many cases much better contrast and color reproduction. There are also a number of modern day warbird photos, as well as some of the faux Japanese aircraft flown by the CAF at air shows. In the LW section, there were not many photos that I had not seen somewhere before.
