Ju-52/3m, VB+UF - Blindflugschule B36 or 2./KGzrvbV 9?

Hi!

I have a doubt on a specify Ju-52/3m, Stammkenzeichen code VB+UF.

In the first “In Action” book dedicated to the Ju-52, written for Uwe Fest, it says that this aircraft was of the Blindflugschule B36. The book has two photos of the VB+UF. In the first one, it is in the standard splinter camouflage, but it does not have a legend. In second, it already is with the standard winter camouflage, and the legend says: “based at Gardelegen to near Magdeburg”, without indication of date.

In the book “Luftwaffe Codes, Markings & Units 1939-1945” written of Barry C. Rosch, it has a photo of the same aircraft, in the winter camouflage, flying with other Ju-52. And the legend says: “Junkers Ju 52/3m transports of 2./KGzrvbV 9 on supply mission in Russia during to winter of 1942. The nearest aircraft is coded 4V+AK” (p. 106). Here, the problem is: the code 4V+ is really of 9 KGzrvbV - and not it VB+. And, according this same book, does not exist a Blindflugschule B36.

Which squadron this Ju-52 VB+UF belonged? It was in the Kessel of Stalingrad?

Cheers,
Franklin

As Tom allready pointed out, VB+UF belonged to BFS 6. From 1942 and onwards the different schoolunit were called upon to send Ju 52 on loan to the russian front in order to supplement the transportunits. So that the reason why it was photografed with an aircraft of Kgr zbv 9. It was supposed to return to BFS 6! BFS 6 was renamed FFS B 36 on the 15 of october 1943. And it is mentioned at page 400 in the Rosch book!!!!!
