Do 217 shot down June 25th/26th 1944 - Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum

Hello,

does somebody know which Do 217 were shot down during night June 25th/26th 1944? Probably over territory of Hungary, somewhere around Balaton.

At that time just the II. nd III. NJG4 were using the DO217,pls NJG101/102, nd FAG101, around that date some activity in the bavarian area,

on 25th June 44 Do 217 wnr.173528 cr. Plauen 10%
on 26th Do 217E-4 wnr.5460 cr. A/F Neubrandenburg 35%
but Michal means propably some unkow loss of NJG 101, isn´t it?

(I see just, it´s very old message I´m sorry)

Yes, you are sure, it should be one Do 217 of NJG 101 shot down by friendly fire. Mistaken for Soviet Boston.
