Hungarian Bf 110G-4
Hello,
how many Bf 110G-4 served in Hungarian Air Force during WW2? Only eight with serials M-101 to M-108? Or more? And does somebody knows WNr. of those planes? Is it known which serial carried Bf 110G-4 crashed on December 5 1944 (Lajos Göcsei, István Loósz) and December 12 1944 (Tibor Dérenscei, Károly Fekete). Is known when crashed Bf 110G-4 (István Rózsa, László Hancsics)? Is known which Fw 58 Weihe used second group of Hungarian Nightfighters? Are known serials or WNr.? Were first group of Hungarian Nightfighters on Wiener-Neustadt A/F operational? Thanks for help Michal |

Re: Hungarian Bf 110G-4
The squadron received 10 planes and the correct spelling of some names are: Derencsényi and Loós. I published an article about this unit in 1999 (and collected in the last years many new details also)
ATM I'm very busy, contact me off board. |

Re: Hungarian Bf 110G-4
Could you pass on the info about Hungarian Bf 110 G-4s, as I thought that only Romania received Bf 110 G-4s.
Thank you, Csaba, for any information you might pass on. George |

Quote:
George, According to my knowledge, the Romanians did not use the SN-2 equipped Bf 110 G-4 is combat, they used just earlier versions. Hungary did use this variant as night fighter with an oprational unit for months in the last stage of the war. |

Re: Hungarian Bf 110G-4
According to Bundesarchiv-Militararchiv RL 2 III/647 Stand über Lieferungen Kriegsgerät Ausland Flugzeuge 31.12.1944:
Ungarn (Hungary) 12 Bf 110 in November 1944 ausgeliefert für Nachtjagd. From Imperial War Museum, London, copy of Genst.Gen.Qu.6.Abt. Übersicht über dem Stand der Leiferungen an vebündete und befreundete Staaten (from 30.05.1943 - 29.02.1944): 3 Bf 110 in Mai 1943 ausgeliefert. Apparantly three more aircraft were scheduled for delivery, but are not confirmed delivered as late as 29.02.44. Unfortunately, none of the documents give the sub-version of Bf 110 delivered. |

Re: Hungarian Bf 110G-4
Sarhidai, Punka and Kozlik in Hungarian Eagles (Hikoki) indicate the Hungarians had 12 Bf110G-4s numbered M.101 - 112. The function designated was "night fighter".

Re: Hungarian Bf 110G-4
There were a total of 14 Messerschmitt Bf 110G-4s in the MKHL, delivered as night fighters during late 1944/early 1945. They wore the following codes: M.101–M.114.
The sequence V.951–V.956, assigned to six Messerschmitt Bf 110E-4s and G-2s, was not actually used.

Re: Hungarian Bf 110G-4
Denes
What is your source please of the 14 Bf110G delivered? Also why would the Hungarians give the Bf 110E serialnumbers following right after a batch of 50 Bf 109E? Are we sure V-951 to 956 are not cancelled 109E? Cheers Stig |
