Question about Hptm. Ernst Ott, Stab I./ZG1 in 1940
Hello,
Does anyone know anything about Hptm. Ernst Ott, who is noted scoring a victory against a British Fighter on 1.6.40, while on the Stab of I./ZG 1. What Stab position did he hold? Where did he come from prior to that time and where did he go when the unit was reorganized into a NJG unit? We pretty much know the composition of the Stab of I./ZG1 during the French Campaign, and I don't see where he fits in. Thanx for any help.
