In Priens series on the Jagdwaffe we find in Volume 13/Part II on page 569 a quote on operations of III./JG 6 on December 27th, 1944 (in German):
"Die III./JG 6 hatte mit fünf Bf 109 einen Einsatz zum Platzschutz für den Flugbetrieb der Strahler der Einsatzstaffel des KG 76 und des Kdo. Braunegg – 2./NAG 6 – vom Platz Münster-Handorf zu fliegen, das Ergebnislos verlief.“ Basically it says that III./JG 6 flew with 5 Bf 109 cover for the jets of KG 76 and Kdo. Braunegg. The problem is that I would like to know the original source for this report. Does somebody know? Of course I did ask Jochen but he could not find it anymore. Would appreciate the help!
