Hi Mike,

Here are some more recommendations:
  • Caldwell "JG 26: Top Guns of the Luftwaffe"
  • Kagero "JG 26 'Schlageter', vol. I" (issue #2 in their unit history series)
  • Kagero "JG 26 'Schlageter', vol. II" (issue #25 in their unit history series)
  • Goss "Luftwaffe Fighter-Bombers over Britain" (covers 10.(Jabo)/JG 26 in 1942-43)
  • Vasco "9. Staffel/Jagdgeschwader 26" (purely photographic content)
There's some JG 26 coverage in each of the Galland biographies:
  • Galland "The First and the Last"
  • Toliver, Constable "Fighter General: The Life of Adolf Galland"
  • Baker "Adolf Galland: The Authorised Biography"
  • Held "Adolf Galland: A Pilot's Life in War and Peace"
  • Caldwell, Michulec "Adolf Galland"
If you read German, there's also:
  • Priller "JG 26: Geschichte eines Jagdgeschwaders"
  • Prien "Jagdfliegerverbände der Deutschen Luftwaffe" (vols. 1, 2, 3, 4/I, 5, 7)
  • Gomann "Und über uns der Himmel: Fliegergeschichten vom JG 26"
Hope that helps,
Leon Venter
