30.8.40: all same
8.9.40: plane S4+LL, crew same.

Was Nass the pilot or Bartels ?

Ofw Wilhelm Nass was the pilot while Uffz Engelbert Bartels was the BF. Both had the Gold Frontflugspange while Nass had the EP. Both POW 16 Nov 41 still with 3./506

I would expect for this award a series of achievements not one in particular

Not necessarily, but it would be intrigueing to find out that Kurt Thiele's DKiG was awarded for a certain number of missions in the BV 138.
