Junkers 88 losses 7.7.41

Hi I'm seeking the crew losses if known for two Ju88s of 6/KG51 reported missing on 7.7.41 both curiously coded 9K+AP , W.Nr 3372 and 6347.
I have Fw.Heinz Lochmuller in one and Uffz Wilhelm Helm in the other.
Any help appreciated,
Steve.

Steve

Can't help as such, but WNr 3372 is odd.
I have it reported as crashed 1 Aug 1942 at Dmitrowka when belonging to 5./KG 3

Cheers
Stig

A-5 3372 9K+AP = I belive be wrongly reported. Correct one not known.
(However 3372 = 3732 A-4 Entry (Lfd.) 57 from report date 04.08.42. (GQM Verband)
A-5 3372 was alive with FFS C 9 untill March 1943 (GQM Schulen)

Re: Junkers 88 losses 7.7.41

Hi Ed

Looking at my notes again for WNr 3372 I only have one crewmember as injured, but nothing on
any damage %, so it is very likely it was repaired and later served with FFS C 9 as you say.

Thanks for the additional data.

Cheers
Stig

Stig

To clarify things the 5./KG 3 Dmitrowa force landing and fire (100%) 01.08.42 is (appears and I belive so) different aircraft, I double checked with Salonen (NVM) and GQM Verband losses page 04.08.42, again, and they agree.

WNr. you state for this be 3372 is incorrect.

3732 Ju 88 A-4 5./KG 3 (Lw.Kd.Öst East)
OPS (F) dam by Infantry fire and force landed, burned (100%) at Dmitrowka 01.08.1942 (BS Obgefr. Gerhard Uhsemann injured)

and
"3372" has many entries after "loss" 7.7.41, so can not be same as crew
"3372 9K+AP" escaped it appears in May 1942, so I "declare" it (W.Nr.) dubious.

and
(F Fw. Heinz Lochmüller, BS Uffz. Schillenberg and BS Uffz. Hugo Abig mis/rep allright .05.42, B Gefr. Johann Schnöller mis/rep inj .05.42)

other crew (GQM), no amendment I know of, but I am not chasing after
crews for time beeing ...

(F Uffz. Wilhelm Helm, B Uffz. Paul Hauck, BF Uffz. Alfred Marzinzig and BS Uffz. Willi Wolf missing)

I m not tracking relevant amendment(s) in GQM so presume its there for some author not with a headache, to find. Bra IKEA möbelfakta ...

Best - Ed

Aha Ed

Now I get it.....
All these WNr stuff is tricky business....but fun!

....and yes we do have quite few items from IKEA, although we pick a lot less than THEY want us to....

I have Ju88A-5 - W/Nr 088.3372 as PC+PL with FFS(C)9 in August 1942 at Altenburg from Fb.Lorenzen.
And if it helps Ju88A-5 088.6347 as BL+CX with Junkers Flugzeug Werke in July 1942 from Fb.Krause

Re: Junkers 88 losses 7.7.41

Thanks Tom

Since your and Ed's data make Steve's WNr statement a bit outdated by now, can you Steve
expand why you believe the two aircraft you list went MIA on 7 July 1941??

Your source(s) for example?

Cheers
Stig

Re: Junkers 88 losses 7.7.41

Ed

Not following you this time
Are you saying both WNr 3372 and 6347 actually are listed as lost 7 July 1941?

So if I try to summarize the situation we have
WNr "3372" 9K+AP lost 7 July 1941 (wrong WNr)
WNr "6347" 9K+AP lost 7 July 1941 (wrong WNr)
WNr "3372" lost 1 Aug 1942 (actually 3732)

If yes, how odd that the GQM has made a "triple-fault"!

Does the NVM say the same thing?
Cheers
Stig
