Wracks in Germany
In a German newspaper (Wormser Zeitung - this is the link:
http://www.wormser-zeitung.de/rhein-main/objekt.php3?artikel_id=2405024 ) I found some information about the wracks of 3 (!) WW II planes – two German and one American fighter found near Kaiserslautern. The German fighters collided in the air on November 6, 1944 not far from the ruins of the castle Beilstein. The American aircraft had probably a forced landing near Waldleiningen. Ther is no further information about the type and missions of the planes. Does somebody know more about the crashed planes? |
